The story of our Espadrilles
Welcome to our website. Espadrille.co.uk grew out of our family’s love for classic flat espadrilles, with their jute soles and canvas uppers in bright summer colours. Originally setting out to find the source of these comfy shoes our visits to the Mediterranean revealed other exciting treasures that we couldn’t resist and our collection started to evolve.
Our aim was to find small family run artisan shoemakers, but what we found was generations of design, knowledge, and innovation that had been passed down from father to son, and mother to daughter. The shoes we discovered whilst travelling had been the choice of summer footwear for women of all ages for many years due to their meticulous detail and fine quality. The local women fully supported every artisan shoemaker we found and it was easy to see why. Every pair of espadrilles thoughtfully created were as unique and special as the woman who wore them.
The aim of espadrille is to carefully select an individual collection that represents all that is good about traditionally made, handcrafted summer footwear for women. High quality materials (with respect for the environment) lovingly crafted into stunning designs which above all are comfortable and will add a luxurious finishing touch to your summer and holiday outfits.

I would definitely recommend this company. I ordered Sunday afternoon and they were delivered on Tuesday. I chose the mid heel height, the shoes are so comfy and the leather is so soft.

Espadrille a customer oriented business
Espadrille wedges are very comfortable and great that they come in three heel heights, including a size 42 which accommodated my long toes! Chris was super helpful at helping me get the right size and has established a customer oriented family business. Would buy from them again.

I cannot say enough about both the product and the service I received. I initially had some trouble with the online payment facility and after e-mailing Chris, I received a phone call immediately from him to sort it out. OMG these are special !
Shoes are exceptionally made with good attention to detail. They feel and look really special not what you get from the average store bought. I went for low wedge and ankle ties which I thought would be best for comfort but still had that very feminine (sexy) look. When I lifted shoes from box I thought they felt heavy but when I laced up the ties the shoes felt light, but secure, on feet. Can’t wait for warmer weather to show them off. Plan to give white trainers a miss for a while snd wear with my midi dresses

The website is easy to navigate. The parcel arrived at my house, two days after I placed the order, and I live in Switzerland, wow, efficient. In terms of fit I am a 39/40 and ordered the 39, they fit perfectly. This is the third season I have bought my shoes from them. This time I spoiled myself and bought four pairs. Very happy with espadrille...roll on summer.
